Lee Lynd has advised policy makers on how to advance biofuels, serving on an advisory committee to the Clinton administration, coauthoring studies with the NRDC and other environmental organizations, advising the National Commission on Energy Policy, and testifying before Congress. He specializes in Biochemical Environmental and Metabolic Engineering, Applied Biology, Biomass Processing and Renewable Resource Utilization.

Nathanael Greene received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Policy from Brown University and a Master of Science Degree in Energy and Resources from University of California Berkeley. He has particular expertise in clean energy technologies including wind, solar and biomass energy, fuel cells, combined heat and power and energy efficiency and in regulations and policies to promote these technologies.

Dr. Bruce E. Dale, Professor of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Michigan State University
Bruce Dale's research and professional interests include the sustainable conversion of plant matter to industrial products - fuels, chemicals and materials - while still meeting human and animal needs for food and feed. At the request of the National Academy of Sciences, he led the production of a report entitled "Biobased Industrial Products: Research and Commercialization Priorities" which was released in March 2000. Dr. Dale has authored over 80 referred journal papers and holds eleven U. S. and foreign patents.

Carol Werner, Executive Director, Environmental & Energy Study Institute (EESI)
Carol Werner serves on the steering committees of the Sustainable Energy Coalition, the Surface Transportation Policy Project, and the Environmental Advisory Committee of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy. She also serves on the board of the National Center for Appropriate Technology, the board of the New Uses Council and the editorial board of BioCycle magazine. She was a member of the Department of Energy's (DOE) State Energy Advisory Board for six years, was on the World Council of Churches Task Force on Climate Change, and was a stakeholder in the DOE/USDA Bioenergy Initiative. Carol also was a member of DOE's Federal Advisory Committee on the Commercialization of Renewable Energy Technologies and had been on the steering committee of the U.S. Climate Action Network.

Jetta Wong, Senior Policy Associate, Environmental & Energy Study Institute (EESI)
Jetta Wong is an Agriculture and Energy Policy Analyst working with EESI's Agriculture and Renewable Energy program. She writes for the organization's BCO: Bioenergy, Climate Protection, Oil Reduction newsletters; monitors the reauthorization of the Farm Bill and implementation of its existing energy provisions; and is the primary EESI researcher on three organization project studying effective marketing incentives for biopower, biofuels and biobased products; and monitoring and advocacy related to the Renewable Fuels Standard. She has a B.S. in Natural Resources and the Environment from the University of Michigan and has studied agriculture and sustainable development in Costa Rica and Brazil.

Brooke Coleman, Executive Director, New Fuels Alliance; Founder, Northeast Biofuels Collaborative
Brooke Coleman has been involved with transportation fuels at the regulatory and policy making level in California and other states since 1998, first as the Clean Fuels and Climate Change Director for Bluewater Network and more recently as the Executive Director and co-founder of the New Fuels Alliance. He led a national campaign to ban the gasoline additive MTBE, and currently promotes renewable fuels as a viable, near-term strategy to address petroleum dependence and global climate change. He is a leading national advocate for the development of advanced biofuels, and is a member of the Massachusetts State Bar.

Anne Steckel
Anne Steckel is the Director, Congressional Relations, at the American Farm Bureau Federation. At the Farm Bureau, Anne handles energy and conservation issues. Anne has nearly a decade of experience on Capitol Hill, most recently as legislative assistant to the Assistant Majority Leader of the Senate, Sen. Dick Durbin. She handled agricultural and trade issues for the Senator and was actively engaged in provisions in the Energy Policy Act of 2005 affecting ethanol. Earlier in her career, she served as legislative director for former Rep. David Phelps and handled agricultural, environmental and transportation issues.
